Real Madrid defender has head stapled after x-rated collision

Real Madrid defender Pepe suffered a horrific cut to the head after collision - and had to have his wound stapled back together on the pitch.

The Portuguese international went up for a 50/50 aerial battle in the first half of his side's 4-0 win against Copenhagen tonight.

He was pictured on the ground with what looked like a pretty nasty cut on the eyebrow, and Real Madrid's medical staff were forced into emergency action as they stapled up the gash using a staple gun.

Some would say it was just about what he deserves given his career of conning referees, but we would never be so heartless. Get well soon Pepe!
